I have been a journalist for the last 13 years. Starting at a very young age, I knew I wanted to be a journalist. The awareness of social issues and human interest stories drew me to study Communications and to specialize in journalism. Though my focus was on my home country, I wanted to get an international perspective on the news coming out of Mexico and Latin America. This is why I took a semester in journalism in Buenos Aires, and later on, in Vienna, I studied a specialization in “Media Literacy” organized by the University of Texas. I started in print journalism first at “El Universal” and then “Reforma” newspaper. In 2012, I was the State of Mexico’s correspondent for this National newspaper, covering the narco war in a region where it had deep roots. Una ambulancia deja de trasladar a 14 pacientes al día por la largas filas de espera para conseguir tanques de oxígeno. Paramédicos, abordo de ambulancias, reportan haber sufrido robos a mano armada de sujetos que hurtan los tanques de la unidad. Hundreds of women protesters have taken to the streets in Mexico’s capital demanding justice for rape crimes against two girls at the hands of the police. This march went viral as activists used pink spray and threw glitter as part of their protest.  During the protest, a woman was filmed damaging the Mexico City Attorney General’s office. The video went viral, as well as the message she left explaining her actions: “The damage done to the building installations can be repaired in a day.
